Yep – you read that right….$1.00 Admission to the Kansas City Zoo on Monday, July 19th!!  Why?  They are celebrating Child Appreciation Day and this is one way to honor kids.    The bonus is that kids of ALL ages can enjoy $1.00 corn dogs – yummmmm!!!!

You and your kids will be able to jam with Radio Disney from 10:00 a.m. to noon, meet Clifford between 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., create their own animal chalk art and so much more!

So, if you don’t have plans, you might want to load up the kids and head on out.  You’ll certainly win a few “cool points” I’m sure!

You can get one free kid’s admission to the zoo everyday with one paid adult ticket. See http://www.visitkc.com for the coupon.

The thought of eating a corn dog today when the temperature is supposed to hit 95 and the heat index 105 is not doing me any good – lol. Great deal, but I have to be honest, I’m just imagining what Mom and/or Dad will go through if they take their kids in this heat and humidity for a LOONNNGGG walk at the Zoo. Yikes!

Wouldn’t you know they’d have this on a day where the heat index is supposed to be 188 degrees?

OK, maybe 118 degrees. It just FEELS like 188…
