2011 Goals for Penny Pinchin’ Mom & Our Family

It is nearly 2011 and that means it is time for new goals.  I swear that it feels like just yesterday that I was writing down those I hoped to achieve for 2010.  When it comes to setting your goals, always be S.M.A.R.T.:

I also know that when you write your goals down, that you take ownership.  I also find that sharing my goals with others also makes me more accountable.  That is why I am sharing some of my goals for the site and for  my family with all of you.  Ready?  Here are mine for 2011:

  1. To increase e-mail subscribers by at least 20% by December 31, 2011 through increased networking and social media.
  2. To provide more relevant content, other than deals, with readers by providing at least 5 or more articles monthly, through December 31, 2011.
  3. Plan and take a vacation with my husband (just the two of us) before school begins in mid-August – and pay for it in cash.
  4. Paint our house and replace the stone work by April 30th – paying for it in cash.
  5. To take at least 10 minutes everyday or every other day for myself.  No kids.  No husband. No computer.  By doing so, I know I will be a better mother and wife to my family.

So, those are 5 goals I have for this upcoming year.  If you have written a post and would like to share your goals with others, please link up below.  If you don’t have a website, but would like to share your goals, please do so in the comments.  Together, we can achieve so much!

Great Job Tracie! My husband and I just finished reading The Total Money Makeover on Monday and have a goal to be debt free by the end of the year! We have our envelope systems set up and we’ve set our budget, finally spending less than we make. We actually are excited about finances for the first time because we believe that we can do it. Thanks for your blog – such great motivation, coupons & money-saving tips! (It’s so great that you’ve planned a couples vacation – I look forward to being able to do things like this – paying with cash & enjoying it guilt free – in the years to come :).)

That is great Carrie! We are actually starting a debt free challenge next week here on the site – using most of Dave’s principles, so you will be able to follow along with all of us as well! Being debt free is the most amazing feeling — it will be the best decision you and your husband actually ever make!
