1. Pick up
This isn’t fun, but if you take a little time and pick up the toys, clothes, bills — whatever you find — and put it away, you will wake in the morning to a clean house. When your house is clean, you wake with one less thing to worry about. You can tackled your day with a vengeance.
2. Do the dishes
Never let them sit out. Load them in the dishwasher or wash them. This will prevent food from hardening on them (making them more difficult to clean) and the kitchen from having a smell.
3. Pack lunches
When the kid are in school, take a little time to prepare lunches before you go to bed. In the morning, you’ll just have to grab them from the fridge and put them into backpacks and you’ll be on your way.
4. Set items by the door
Get the backpacks, briefcase, purse or other items and place them near the door you will walk through when you leave. You won’t have to worry about leaving anything behind if the things you need are sitting and waiting for you in the morning.
5. Layout your clothes
Lay your kids clothes, socks and shoes out before they go to bed. In the morning, they will not have to struggle with what to wear. They can just get dressed and be on their way. Hint – this tip can work well for Mom and Dad too!
6. Have breakfast items ready
Before you go to bed, set out the cups, bowls, spoons and even the cereal so that you are ready to go when morning comes. Then, when you all head into the kitchen, pour the cereal and milk, pop the bread into the toaster and you’ll have breakfast in not time.
