If any of you are a parent, or if you even watch the news, the number of unsafe toys in homes these days is staggering. It seems every time you turn around something is being recalled due to a child being injured. And while most people would think people would rush in to get rid of the unsafe items, many people just don’t know, or just do not heed the warnings.
In an attempt to look out for children, Toys R Us’s program, which runs August 28th through September 20th, wants old baby items. They don’t care how old, when it was purchased or if it was recalled or not. The items include: cribs, car seats, bassinets, strollers, travel systems, play yards and high chairs. In return for bringing in these items, you will get a coupon for 20% off of a NEW baby item, within these same categories.
So go through your house and find your older items and take them in. Even if you don’t need the coupon, this is a great way to help dispose of the older items that could end up in garage or yard sales and then back in someone else’s home, where a child could still be injured.
