Back To School Giveaway

Our next giveaway is a great one for active families!

I have always been a fan of Shout products.  I have 3 small children and someone seems to ALWAYS have a stain of some sort on an article of clothing.  In fact, we do “laundry inspection” before anything is ever tossed into the washing machine.  And then, many items are coated in Shout before they go in.

One trick I’ve learned to get some stains out is to spray the item and let it sit.  Then, I turn the item inside out and rinse it from the backside of the fabric forward.   I’ve been amazed at how much better this has worked to get out some of those tough stains.  Of course, Shout certainly helps a ton, but just little tricks can help make the difference between the item going back into your closet vs. the trash can.

When these games arrived, my six year old grabbed them and disappeared in her room for about 3 hours.   Normally, she walks around saying “I’m bored” but these games intrigued and challenged her.  Of course, she did have to come and ask me for some help on some of them as they were a tad above her head, but it was fun for the two of us to spend quality time doing something together.  And of course, the perk of her learning while we did it was just great!

Next up is iHome’s iD85, an app-enabled Dual Alarm Clock Radio for your iPod, iPhone or iPad.

I am usually skeptical about some gadets – never am sure.  However, in true iHome fashion, this one does NOT fail.  I thought that we had a good alarm clock and it worked well for us, but this one just put that other one to shame.  One feature that really worked for us was the dual alarm — but even better was that we could use our iPod to select different way so wake.  We loved that.

I also never use to listen to the radio or any sort of music in the morning, but I think the feauture of using the remote control must be too much for me to resist.  I just keep using it while I am putting on my makeup or fixing my hair.  Yeah, I guess you could say I’m hooked!
