If you are new to Penny Pinchin’ Mom – welcome!  There are so many unique features on this site – all of which are done to help you save more on your day to day shopping.  Here are some things you will find:

Printable Coupons:  Everyone loves to print coupons! You can find the most recently posted printable coupons here.  You can also click on Coupons and then Printable Coupons from our main menu and find links to even more coupons for you to print!!

Grocery Store Matchups:  I personally provide local coupon matchups for Kansas City area stores like Hen House, HyVee and Price Chopper.  No worries if you don’t live around here – I have a comprehensive Grocery Store Database that provides links to bloggers who do the store matchups in your own backyard.

Deals, Steals and Money Saving Tips:  I share deals in stores and on-line.  Keep in mind that many times, deals are time sensitive so there can be either price change or sell out between the time they are posted on my site and when you visit their website.  You can find these quickly by clicking on Current Deals from the main menu.

Money Saving Articles:  For me, saving money isn’t just about using coupons.  It is about simple changes you can make to your own lifestyle.  Things like budgeting, debt reduction or even how to save on a birthday party.  I share articles such as these all of the time and they have been very helpful if you are just getting started on the path to financial indepenedence.  You can find all of the articles by clicking on Money Saving Articles from the main menu, or by going here.

Coupon Database:  This is MOST helpful to my readers.  If you are not sure if you have a coupon in your aresenal – or need to see if there is one for print.  You can find it here and also a direct link in the main menu at the top of the page.

Coupon Basics:  If you are BRAND NEW to using coupons, How to Use Your Coupons can be a great resource to help you learn how to really put those coupons to work for you.  You can also check out these articles as well:  Abbreviations, How to Read your Coupons, Organizing Your Coupons, Where to Find Coupons and even Coupon Policies.   Find all of these articles by clicking on Start Here above and choosing the one that works from the drop down menu.

If you have any other questions that are not answered here, please review our FAQs page!

I need some serious help. Very sort on funds, hard to keep up with bills piling up and getting behind much less buying groceries! I need to learn how to use coupons like those who do and get money back and have used all their coupons and get hundreds of dollars worth of groceries for free. Can you get me started in the right direction?

Debbie – what you see on TV is not normal shopping. It is extreme. It is usually staged. The stores allow stacking of coupons and other protocols that are outside of the normal shopping policy. So, I want you to know that before you get started.

You just have to be ready to learn. I recommend that you start following the CVS and Walgreens deals to learn how to get household items (detergent, toothpastes, etc) for next to nothing. That is doable and is not staged. I do this myself.

As far as groceries, it depends upon where you shop. If your store does not offer double or triple coupons, you won’t do as well. Don’t be discouraged as you can still save, you just need to work on hard on clipping and matching coupons with the sales. If you click on the Grocery Stores and Other from the drop down, you will find a comprehensive grocery store database. You click on the link for the store where you shop and that will take you to someone who does this for you – matches the coupons and sales.

Using these tools can help you learn how to really save so that you can afford some of the things you need. Hope this helps.

Stephanie – just follow the matchups. When we tell you what to buy with the coupon, just pick up that item and when you pay, hand your coupon to the cashier and they will take care of it for you. I do recommend that you take it slow and just try to pick up one or two items with coupons and see how it goes.

Do you know anyone in the Kansas City area that teaches couponing classes? My daughter lives in Olathe Ks and now is a single mom raising 2 babies ( on a very very very slim budget) and she could really use it. Thanks

I do hold classes, just not during the summer months. I will have one this September or October and will share the details on my site as soon as I have them finalized.

I offer classes and you can submit this form if you are interested in having one. Note that I do not offer private lessons at this time. If you have questions, you can email me using this same form or directly at tracie@pennypinchinmom.com. Thanks!

Tracie–I want to let you know how helpful your site has been to me. I am 32 weeks pregnant (unexpected pregnancy) and have a 4 year old. I was trying to finish up nursing school when i found out I was pregnant so I put my dreams on hold in order to pay bills! My boyfriend and his daughter moved in with us shortly after finding out I was pregnant. We didn’t officially live together but may as well have. It was shortly after that he lost his job. Almost a family of 5 and I’m trying to find ways to pinch some pennies myself. Thank you for sharing all your hard work! It isn’t left unappreciated!

Thank you for sharing! I love knowing that I can help out people such as yourself. It is difficult and we are all in this together, so helping one another is the only way we all win!

Take care!!!!!

I see in the Price Chopper ad, Knorr Rice Sides for .49C each but in the match up, it says 2 for .50 so .24 each. How do I obtain that coupon?

The coupon listed show the insert date. You would need the insert from that weekend’s Sunday newspaper.

I’m desperate for Eggo Chocolate Chip Waffles!!! No site has this print out available.

That just means that there is not a coupon available. Companies don’t always release coupons for all products.

I stumbled across your site last week. I just started to really seriously get into coupons, as since my hours at work have been cut down to two days a week and we have five teenagers to feed. So I figured I needed to do something to help lower the price of groceries. After talking to my mom she had some sites for me, since she actually took a class a few years ago in her town. This was one of the places she referred me to. I believe that this is the most helpful at getting me started and organized! Thank for posting all this great info! I will for sure be a frequent visitor on your site!
