Yep. Teacher stuff. These were the exact words uttered by my 5 year old daughter this weekend while visiting with Santa. Mind you, my Christmas shopping was pretty much done, and then she threw this one in to the Big Man himself – like sprinkles on top of ice cream. *sigh*
Now, I used to be a teacher, this should be easy for me. And, it mostly is — however, I wanted something that was already put together. I didn’t want to have to find or make a million different “kits”. After searching for “Pretend teacher kit” … I came across one from Learning Resources. I could have bought this set for a few dollars cheaper at ToysRUs — but, on Amazon, I didn’t have to pay taxes, and it shipped for free – and best of all, I did it all from my couch in my pj’s!!
After adding in a few other things, they all shipped for $51.70 — thanks to a $10 Gift Card I had earned from SwagBucks! I think I’m off to a great start on “Teacher Stuff”! I already have an easel that has one side chalk and one side dry erase. I will add in a few handmade trinkets to cover the “teacher clothes and teacher coffee” she also asked for.
And, this is something I can add to for birthdays, Easter, and more holidays for years to come!
Here is what I put together for her so far:
Learning Resources Pretend and Play School Set - $25.15
Pretend and Play School Teacher Supplies - $14.69
Jumbo Teacher Stamps Set; 30 Per Set - $15.30
