Disney or Marvel Vitamins: Request a Refund if You Purchased

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see my full disclosure policy for details.

If you purchased Disney or Marvel Hero vitamins within the past few years, you may be due a refund.  Why?  The vitamin marketer NBTY In,  and to subsidiaries, have agreed to pay $2.1 million in settlement chargers due to the fact that they may false health claims about these multi-vitamins.  This was nothing harmful to your children, the markter claimed that the vitamins promoted healthy brain and eye development in children, when they did not.

The vitamins were sold by major retailers such as CVS Pharmacy, Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens, Kroger, Kmart, Meijer, and Rite Aid, as well as online.  The FTC urges consumers who believe they may have purchased them between May 1, 2008 and September 30, 2010, to file a claim online, or call 866-224-4336 and request a paper claim form in the mail.   If you are eligible, you will have until October 12, 2012 to file your claim.

Thanks Anna!

THANK YOU for posting this! I briefly heard it on Fox 4 yesterday and couldn’t find any more info on their website at the time. Thanks a bunch!

What do I need to show I purchased the vitamins…I have a couple of bottles left on my shelf, but they are ones I purchased after 2010…I don’t know if I have receipts back that far….Does it mean you get a full refund or just for the vitamin that was missing, since I did give the vitamins to my children, I hope they got some value from taking them.

You would need a receipt to prove you purchased them…..if you used a credit card that gives details purchases, that might work.
