Time for another weekend!  It looks like a wet one here in Kansas City, so a lot of outdoor plans may end up being nixed.  Here are some things that you can do here and even in stores around the country.

Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinics
Lowe’s Stores Nationwide
Saturday, April 24th
10.00 a.m.
Cost:  Free

Head on over hereand get signed up so you and your child(ren) can make a birdfeeder.  I know that my kids love watching the birds fly around our backyard and get the biggest kick watching them eat from our feeders.

Michael Pluffy Clay Event
Michael’s Stores Nationwide
Saturday, April 24th
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Cost: Free

Your kids can say Happy Mother’s Day by creating with puffy clay.  They will make mom a gift she’ll cherish for years to come.  This event is good while supplies last.   Head here for more details and to find a location near you.

StoneLine Puppet Theatre: Green Day Festivals
Lakeside Nature Center, 4701 E. Gregory, Kansas City, MO
Saturday, April 24th
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Cost: Free

Head on out and enjoy watching live animal encounters, make and take art projects and animal conservation information.  Head here for more information.

Fairy Tale Village / Meet Sleeping Beauty
Crown Center, Level 1 Atrium
Saturday, April 24th
12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Cost: Free

Take your own princess to visit the enchanted castle and meet Sleeping Beauty.  This is the final weekend to catch this exhibit, so even if your don’t wish to visit a princess, you can still take time to enjoy Fairy Tale Village.  You can head here for more information.

3rd Annual Chalk Walk
Concourse Park, 200 South Benton Blvd, Kansas City
Saturday & Sunday, April 24th & 25th
Cost: Free

Come watch artists turn the sidewalks into works of art.  There are events for the children to do their own creating, enjoy story time and even chalk a cow or van!  This sounds great — I hope that Mother Nature is co-operative and doesn’t make this one a wash out.  Head here for more information.

Hi! Thank you so much for all you do! I appreciate the deals you find for us! Have you heard anything about discount packages fpr WOF/OOF, with passes to both parks and a cabin? Looking for a family adventure, but as inexpensive as possible. Thank you, happy planting!
