Elmo turns three years old in February and we are celebrating with a special storytime at Borders. Elmo will be stuck on Sesame Street for his birthday but we will have a great time reading Sesame Street stories and making a fun art project! Kids ages 2-7 are invited to join in on the fun! Rodents Get a Bad Rap
Burr Oak Woods Nature Center, 1401 NW Park Road, Blue Springs, MO

Age: Recommended Ages 8 and up

Rodents get a bad rap! Many see them only as nuisance animals. Join naturalist, Jason Watson to discover the important role they play in nature. We will live trap these criters and have a chance to get to know them up close and personal. Parents will help the children learn how to identify the animals we catch, and learn just where they fit into the food web.

Kiddie Olympics
The Ice at Park Place, 117th & Nall, Leawood
Saturday, February 20th
12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $6.00 + $3.00 skate rental (but you can use your own skates)

Park Place is celebrating the Winter Olympics in Vancouver this weekend with The Kiddie Olympics! This Saturday from Noon to 3pm, bring the kids for fun games and competitions like the limbo, an egg in spoon race, and a fun sled race! We’ll have two sets of games, one for beginners and one for more experienced skaters, so all levels are welcome! Winners will receive Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals and Park Place Gift Cards!
