It’s another weekend! Here are some fun and free (or relatively inexpensive) ideas for some things to do with the family!

Details:  All moms-to-be are invited to stop by their local Babies R Us store and get some great discounts, baby shower ideas and chances to win some great giveaways.

Thomas & Friends Playdate

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Cost: Free
Details:  Enjoy story time, coloring and even some fun giveaways!

Spring Chick Craft
Lakeshore Learning Centers Nationwide
Saturday, April 9th
11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Cost: Free
Details:  What’s spring without some baby chicks?  Head out and the kids can make their very own!

Minnie’s Masquerade
Disney Stores Nationwide
Saturday, April 9th
11:00 a.m. (10:30 in some stores) or 12: 30 p.m.
Cost: Free
Details: Bring your children ages 3 and up to enjoy a viewing party of Minnie’s Masquerade before it airs on the Disney Channel.    They’ll also be able to making their very own crown and can participate in a costume  parade (where everyone gets a prize).

Sports Pinball Craft
Lowe’s Stores Nationwide
Saturday, April 9th
10:00 a.m.
Cost: Free
Details:  Kids ages 5 and up can create their own Pinball game.  You will need to register for this event and can do so here.

As usual with store events, you will want to call ahead and make sure yours is participating before you head out.

    There is also a fabulous Rachel Coleman LIVE concert to benefit the Signing Time Foundation. It is relatively inexpensive children 1-12 are $5 and adults are $10. If your not familiar with Signing Time or Rachel Coleman she sings original songs and teaches American Sign Language. Research shows that using American Sign Language with hearing children can increase their IQ. The concert is tomorrow Saturday, April 9, 2011at 4:30 pm at Blue Valley North High School Performing Arts Center and tickets can be purchased at the door. We could use help spreading the word.
