It’s another weekend! Here are some fun and free (or relatively inexpensive) ideas for some things to do with the family!

Passport to Egypt Fun – Make it and Take It

Details:  Kids ages 3 and up can make a Heiroglyphics & Mummy make it and take it craft — while supplies last.

Waving Flag Build

Cost: Free
Details:  The kids can create a really cool waving flag this weekend – perfect timing for July 4th.  Registration is required – sign up here.

Disney Cars 2 Celebration
Disney Store Event

Cost: Free
Details:  Join Disney Store for fun events every Saturday in June to celebrate the Cars 2 release.

LOCAL

Dragon Boat Festival
Brush Creek (47th & Broadway)
Saturday, June 25th
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Cost: Free
Details:   Everyone can enjoy games, performances, food, and dragon boats, and fun activities.  Dancers, drummers and musicians from all over town will entertain you on the Stage. and the real excitement started. Opening ceremonies and stage performances begin at noon and the final boat races will begin at 2:15 p.m.

Duck Derby
Brush Creek (47th & Broadway)
Sunday, June 26th
11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Cost:  You can join others to help Children’s TLC right here in Kansas City.  There will be THOUSANDS of ducks filling the creek and you can even adopt one of your very own.  Even if you don’t decide to “buy a Donald”, you can enjoy face painting, amazing food and all sorts of great family activities.  More info here.
