I called Hen House in Olathe and asked about the coupon policy. She told me that they double up to 50 cents, which I thought meant that it won’t go past 50 cents. Did I miss understand? I’m also watching an Extreme Couponing episode and the store this woman is in has the same policy and she was saying the same thing, she has a 50 cent coupon and she said after it doubled, it would be a dollar….yeah, now I’m confused. So, can someone explain that to me? I am desperately searching for a store that would take my coupons up to a $1.

Veronica, that includes $0.50 coupons — which means it will be worth $1 when you redeem it. The other stores with written policies do not double past that value. The only exception are special one-time events, as recently took place at the Belton HyVee store.

It means that they will double coupons with a value of up to $.50. So if you have a coupon that is $.40 it will double to $.80. If you have a coupon that is $.51 it will not double and will just be $.51! Make sense?

Hen House will not allow for coupon overage. If it exceeds the price, they have a right to deny this since it’s in their policy.
