How To Use CartWheel Target Coupons

Update:  This app is now available in both iTunes and Android Market so you don’t have to PRINT them out!  Learn more HERE!

Target has another brand new way to help you save money – it is called Cartwheel.  You can actually save up to 30% off of items at Target, including grocery, apparel, health and more!  The part I love the best is that you can stack Cartwheel coupons with Target store coupons and manufacturer’s coupons – making you save big time!

First of all, you will need to sign up using Facebook or your email.  You can also download the app on your Android or Apple Device, so that you have it with you in the store.  I do recommend that you have the smartphone app, as you can easily scan any barcode and if there is a Cartwheel coupon you can use, it will tell you!

Are you ready to get started?  First, just go to Target Cartwheel.  Click on the blue Facebook login button, Sign up with Email or the apps.  Once you are signed in, Then, go through all of the offers and click on those you are interested in using.

One you select the offer, it will show up in your own cartwheel. You can add up to 6 offers initially.  After that, you will need to unlock badges.  You can earn these by referring friends and redeeming offers.  In less than 10 minutes after I signed up, I had already unlocked 8 badges because my friends saw it in my newsfeed and signed up too!

So, how do you actually redeem the offer in the store?  There are two ways you can do this:

If you do not have a Smartphone, you can print your offers and take them with you.  Click on the my CartWheel button at the top of the page. You will see a list of all of the offers you have added to your account.   If you have changed your mind about one of the offers, you can click on it and hit the remove button and it will be taken off of your list.  If you are ready to shop, click the redeem in store button, which will bring up a printable list format.   Print and take this with you to the store.  The barcode will be scanned by the team member and your savings applied to your purchase!

If you would rather not print it out, you can use the iPhone or Android App and just show it to the cashier on your phone.  The offers you will have selected will be in your account and they will scan your phone and you will save instantly!

There are a few things you will need to keep in mind about using this application:

How many Cartwheel offers can I redeem at one time?  You can redeem all the Cartwheel offers on your Cartwheel list at the time of your transaction. For example, if you have 10 offers on your list when you scan your barcode at a Target store, and you’re purchasing items tied to all 10 offers, you’ll save on all 10 items. If you’ve unlocked additional spots on your Cartwheel, you can save on all the offers you have room for in your Cartwheel at one time.

How many times per day can I use my Cartwheel list at a Target store? You can save on your entire Cartwheel list up to 6 times per day?

Can I stack other coupons with these offers? Yes you can.  Target store coupons are deducted before Cartwheel savings are applied.  Manufacturer’s coupons are deducted after cartwheel savings are applied.  Keep in mind that the store will ask for all other coupons first, but the Cartwheel total will deduct as mentioned here.

The clerks at Target should read your post, because when I was there on Tuesday, not one knew about program!

  2. Jessica says

You can use your list 6 times a day but you can still only use 4 of the same coupon per household per day (not per shopping trip/transaction). So it will only stack 4 of the 6 times if you are following policy correctly.

I used Cartwheel today at my Target (Lawrence). While I don’t think the clerk knew what it was, I handed her my sheet, she scanned the barcode, it worked, and no questions were asked.

Worked like a charm! And I also had paper coupons (manufacturer and Target), mobile Target coupons, a RedCard, bag credit…yes I was *that* customer. The only thing I forgot to use was my ShopKick gift card! 🙂

The Cartwheel sight is restricted, at least that’s the notice I got when I attempted going there several times over night, that they weren’t letting just anybody in in order to make a better experience.

It seems that they should be giving some kind of consideration to Target Red Card holders and others who shop there a lot but that is not the case. We spend more at Target than any other single store which I doubt will be the case any longer with their attitude, THANKS TARGET!
