HyVee General Shopping FAQs
Does HyVee accept coupons? Yes! They do! They accept both printed and insert coupons. It must be legible and include a clear remit to address and scannable UPC code. If it can not be scanned, your coupon may be rejected. There are additional things to keep in mind when it comes to Internet Printable Coupons:
- They will not accept printed coupons for FREE products
- They will accept coupons for Buy 1 Get 1 Free
- The coupon must have a scannable barcode
- The coupon must have a purchase obligation
- The value of the product must be equal to or less than the coupon value (i.e. if the product is $0.99 and the coupon is for $1 off, it may be rejected).

Does HyVee accept expired coupons? No, they do not. Your coupon must reflect the expiration date (even if it says No Expiration Date). Without this information, your coupon can be rejected.
Does HyVee double coupons? Some stores do offer double coupon days and/or events. To find out of your store does, you will want to visit with your manager and/or visit the store’s Facebook page. At this time, there are only a handful of stores which offer this additional savings option.
Do all stores have the same policy? Yes, the coupon policy is corporate. Keep in mind that each Store Director has the right to refuse any coupons and to set monetary limitations. Therefore, you may want to visit with customer service before you shop.
What is the Fuel Saver program? This program allows you to accumulate fuel discounts on the purchase of select items. You will find these in the weekly ad (both print and on-line versions). Just have your card scanned when you shop and they will be automatically given to you. You can redeem them at HyVee Fuel, Casey’s, Shell or PDQ stations. Read more about this program HERE.
