Important Recall: Nestle Quick Powder

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see my full disclosure policy for details.

Nestle has issues a voluntary recall on select Nestle Nesquick powder products.  There is a possible risk of salmonella — but no one has gotten sick yet.  If you have purchased this recently, make sure you check your product to see if it is included.  Here is what to watch for:

  • The bottom of the canister says “Best to Use by October 2014.
  • Canisters include 40.7 oz, 21.8 oz and 10.9 oz.
  • Two additional containers include promotions for Wreck-It Ralph and the words Be a Hero across the bottom

If you find that you have one of these in your home, youcan return to the place of purchase for a full refund or or contact Nestle Consumer Services at (800) 628-7679.

I purchased the 40.7 oz. container within the last two weeks. Unfortunately I do not have the container since I used the powder to combine with other ingredients to make a large batch of Southern Hot Cocoa mix. Needless to say, this was an expensive process, but something I do each year for Christmas Gifts.

How will this situation be handled?
