Menu Plan Saturday: 7/23 – 7/29

Are you ready for another Menu Plan Saturday?  Before you look at what I’ve planned for my family for this week, be sure to download/print your forms: Weekly Menu Planner and Weekly Shopping List.  Each week I have one special recipe that is provided to me by The Moms Resource called Penny Pinchin’ Picks!

If the recipe is available on line, I have directly linked it for you. If it’s my own recipe, I’ve included the details as well.  Keep in mind that the meals I select are based upon a combination of what I might find on sale combined with items from our pantry/freezer.

Keep in mind that I keep my life simple. I am a busy mom of 3 kids and to be honest, cooking is not something I love to do. I cook because I have to. So, these meals are planned around the simplicity that I look for when it comes to trying to figure out what to make for dinner.

Sunday:   Chicken/Asparagus Stir Fry
Monday:  Homemade Pizza
Tuesday:   Grilled Ham & Cheese sandwiches
Wednesday:   Leftovers
Thursday:  Tacos
Friday:  Eat Out
Saturday:  Grilled chicken, rice, broccoli and rolls

Thank you for the menu plans and the shopping list. I have been trying to figure out a way to get more organized and these form should really help. Now if I can just figure out the right coupon organization for me.

I have a question about your weekly shopping list form–do you use this only for products you have coupons for? My biggest challenge is coordinating the list I’m price-matching, the list of items I have coupons for, plus my regular shopping list. Having 3 lists is too confusing and I forget things all the time. Help!

Just use one list. You are making it way too hard on yourself. The form is designed to help you with the items you have coupons for — just circle the Q at the end of the line. That’s your indicator to check for your coupon. I’d get a highlighter and the bold the items you wanted to price match as well — so you can find those at checkout.

It is about making life simpler and that is what this form was created to do – to help you have an easy way to keep track of what you need to purchase, which items have coupons and even a box to check them off as you purchase them. Hopefully you won’t get home and have to say “UGH!! I forgot _____________!”
