Have you heard about the newest Netflix rate increase? Even if you have been a customer for years, you need to pay attention to this one.
In the past, when Netflix has raised rates, it has allowed grandfathered users to remain at the $7.99 monthly rate. This happened when they first increased to $8.99 per month and then again to $9.99 per month. Existing users were able to stay at the same rate of just $7.99 per month.
That is all about to change.
Starting in May, all Netflix users – even those grandfathered in – will be charged $9.99 per month. Worst of all, they won’t be telling you about it before hand. It will just show up on your bill as they are removing the grandfather feature and making everyone pay the same amount.
This isn’t that big of an increase – just $2. However, if you are not pleased with it, you can always cancel. But, keep in mind that most services charge around $10 per month, so you will expect to pay the same (if not more) if you move to another service.
So, will you keep your service and pay the increase or cancel?
