Office Depot: Batteries Money Maker Starting Sunday

“Batteries Not Included” seems to be on everything I purchase for my kids these days.  So, I’m ALWAYS on the hunt for a deal.  Here’s a great deal on batteries that kicks off on Sunday, at Office Depot.  They are offering 2 – 20 pack Energizer batteries FREE after your Worklife Rewards are applied.  Plus, you can run this deal twice, which means 80 batteries for FREE!  Here’s how to work this deal to your advantage:

$25.98  2 – AA Batteries priced at $12.98 each
   25.98  2 – AAA Batteries priced at $12.98 each
– 10.00  $10/$50 Office Depot printable coupon
$41.96 out of pocket – you will then earn $51.96$41.96 in Worklife Rewards.  (I recently learned that the WorkLife Rewards are reduced by any coupons used – thus, no opportunity for a money maker).

Make this deal even better and find the specially marked packages iTunes gift card offer on them.  When you purchase 3 such packages, you can redeem the codes and get a FREE $10.00 iTunes gift card as well!    This is a definite money maker of $10.00 on your purchase!

Thanks The Dealyo!

2 questions for you. When does this expire, and, can we use our worklife rewards gift card to pay for these? And where do you find these deals? Ok, 3 questions, but this is way too cool!

According to what I just read on the SlickDeals post for the June offer, Worklife rewards will be reduced by any coupons used. If true, this will NOT be a money maker because of the $10 off $50 coupon.

The terms of the worklife rewards program state that if you use worklife credits on a purchase you can’t earn more on that purchase. Maybe it doesn’t actually work tha way, but at least that is what their rules say.

so what are the worklife rewards? are they a gift card credit issued that you have to go back and use instore? or do they actually issue you a rebate check or what?

I just tried this deal yesterday and I only see 41 cents in my WorkLife Rewards account (I just checked my balance online). Am I missing something? Has this worked for others? Thanks, Angie
