Recycling Water For Your Yard and Garden

With Earth Day just around the corner, I thought it would be great to share a wonderful to share a way that you can save on your water bill and help the environment at the same time.  Bridging the Gap sells water barrels.  You place these rain barrels under your down spouts and collec the rain as it runs off of your house.    You can then turn around and use that to water your plants and gardens.  You can even sprinkle it onto your lawn (although – that might take a while – LOL!).

What I love about this program is that it saves in more way the one.  You first are helping the environment.  Instead of all of that water washing away precious soil, you are collecting it and putting it where it can best be used.  Secondly, you are saving money!  Instead of turning on the spout to water your plants, you are using the water that is already readily available.  This is definitely a win-win situation.
