Walgreens: $0.09 Garnier (Non-Test Market Areas Only)

If you happened to have checked out your Walgreens ad this week, you may have seen a deal where get $5 in Register Rewards with a purchase of 2 Garnier Fructis products.  The ad mentioned that they were priced $5.49, but it turns out the the items priced $3.59 ARE included in this offer.  Here are the details on how to get yours for just $0.09 after Register Reward:

Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo + Conditioner (25.4 oz.), $3.59 (UPC 603084263882)
Buy 2, Get a $5 Register Reward
Use $1/1 Select Garnier Fructis Items 3/6/2011 RP Insert (exp 6/6/2011)
Final Price: $0.18/2 after netting coupons and RR (use 2 – $1/1 coupons)

Unfortunately, if you reside in the test market areas, you will recieve 15x points rather than receiving the Register Reward.  That will result in receiving 750 points — which equals only $1.50 (500 points = $1).  If you are unhappy with this program, speak up.   And in case you were wondering, this program is still being tested and is on track to be rolled out late fall/winter 2011 to all stores nationwide.

Thanks, Wild for Wags!

I could never figure out how other people were getting RR when they only option I had was to get 15x points…. now I get it… and I’m not happy about it.

Can i tell them i’m unhappy with it even if i’m not in a test area? I love shopping at WAGS right now because of the RR and great deals that they offer with it…. from what i’ve seen you post i would not like the point system… atleast not how they have it right now.

    • Absolutely!! I think it is important that people let Walgreens know your concerns with the program. Sadly, people have spoken up time and time again and it seems that the concerns keep falling upon deaf ears.

  3. I just filed a formal complaint with Walgreens Corporate via their online service. You can too. Here’s the link:

I am SO frustrated with their Kansas City test market and have switched my loyalty to CVS and told them so due to their tough-to-navigate Points System.

  4. I had a ahard time too, I could only do it on the items that are pictured in the ad, it worked out okay, they were priced at 3.99 a piece

    • It makes me wonder if it wasn’t a system error and they found out and were fixing it when we were all sharing the deal. LOL!!!

Thank you for the link, Kim! I just sent my feedback to them, too!
