Walgreens: Unadvertised HOT Money Maker on Finesse (Up to $5.99)

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see my full disclosure policy for details.

There is a HOT hidden little deal on Finesse right now at Walgreens.   They have Finesse Shampoo/Conditioner on sale 2/$7 ($3.50 each) plus you get $5 in RR when you purchase 2 of them.    If you can find the “Clean & Simple” varieties, you might be lucky enough to find the “Try Me Free” Peelies on them (up to $3.99).   If you can’t find those, you can still find a rebate for $2

Here is the ideal scenario:

Finesse Clean & Simple Shampoo/Conditioner, 2/$7 (will ring up at $3.99 and $3.01 respectively)
Register Reward on 2: $5
Use $1/1 Finesse Product 5/8/2011 SS Insert (exp 8/15/2011)
or use $1/1 Finesse Product 4/18/2011 All You May 2011 (exp 8/31/2011)
Submit one item for $3.99 Rebate
Submit one item for $2 Rebate
Final Price: $5.99 money maker after netting RR, 2 coupons and 2 rebates

Note that since you are submitting for 2 different rebates, you will need to get two receipts, so you can just ask them to print you a rebate or duplicate receipt when you check out.    Also, keep in mind that if you don’t have 2 coupons or can’t find the peelie rebate, that your total “money maker” can vary.

I also am just letting those of you who live in the Test Market know that you may or may not be able to get in on this offer.  Sometimes these hidden, or unadvertised, deals are not running in this areas (Kansas City, Portland or Richmond).

Thanks, Anne!

Yes, this is “the” Anne from the deal. Keep in mind the rebate form states you’ll be reimbursed for the price paid less any coupons. So if you use the $1 Q (which I didn’t have) then you will only get $2.99 for the rebate. Also, keep in mind the stamp and envelope you have to spend 🙂

Finally, if you’ve got some spare Finesse and Gillette Razor coupons, this is a good deal to roll. Use the $5 RR from Finesse to buy Gillette, then the $5 RR from P&G to buy Finesse…and on and on. You can’t send in more than one rebate…but you can at least get the Finesse for free and Razor for $0.89 (plus tax).

Quick question. How do they know if you used a coupon to buy it or not? What if I bought other things besides the shampoo? Or what if I use my RR, those show up as coupons on my receipt too.

    • Tracie says

There is not any way to know as the coupons all are reflected on the receipt togther and not attached to each individual item. That is why I wrote it as I did as there really isn’t any way for them to now with exact certaianty if you used a coupon or not.

I’m not really sure but here are my thoughts…Two things, they may actually look at the receipt and see that you paid $0.00 (or very little if you used RR) and only reimburse you for what you paid. Second, and more likely, on the form, along with name/address, it has a spot for you to write in the price minus coupons/discounts. So, if you are being honest when filling that out…you’ll get back what you paid.

I have honestly never seen a place on the rebate form to indicate your discount/coupon amounts. Does this try me free rebate have this on there?

I had the cashier print 2 rebate receipts for me and they don’t show any of the coupons. It just shows the original cost of the product which is $3.99. I submitted one for the $3.99 rebate and one for the $2.00 rebate.
