It’s time for another weekend, which means time to find things to do with the family! Here are some that I found:

Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinics
Lowe’s Retail Stores
Saturday, December 12th 10:00 a.m.
Cost: FREE

Get the kids together and go to Lowe’s to make some adorable Christmas tree ornaments. Here’s a hint: Have Dad take them to Lowe’s so that Mom can get some shopping done …. or better yet ….go get a pedicure! Check out the details here and get signed up.

Twas The Night Before Christmas Puppet Show
Plaza Branch – Kansas City Library
Friday, December 11th
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Cost: FREE

Stone Lion Puppets Presents the Puppet Show, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.’ Santa’s workshop comes alive with intricate toy marionettes, including a charming larger than life dollhouse which opens to reveal a re-enactment of Clement C. Moore’s famous poem, Twas the Night Before Christmas. An amazing intricate show with the true spirit of the holidays.

Journey Through Bethlehem Live Nativity
New Vision Church – Raymore, MO
Friday, December 11th & Saturday, December 12th
7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Cost: FREE

Experience the sights and sounds of the original Christmas story. Bring the family for special night. Kids can make a Christmas craft, pet live animals, and get a free picture with Santa. Enjoy cookies and hot cocoa before and after you experience the first Christmas. Details can be found here.

There are lots of great things to do free or rather inexpensive in and around Kansas City. KC Parent provided me with these few, but you can check out their entire calendar of events right here.
