What To Do This Weekend

Now that the holidays are over, it is time for “What To Do This Weekend” to return!  Of course, if you live anywhere there is snow all over the ground, I say bundle up EXTRA warm and head out to create a snowman village, have a snowball fight or find a big hill and go sledding!    However, after you do that, you will probably need to warm up, so here are a few things you can do indoors as well!

Lowe’s Build & Grow Clincic

Coin Bank
Saturday, January 9th
10:00 a.m.
Cost: Free
Take the kids with you to Lowe’s and make this fun coin bank.  The cost is free and it is a great activity for Dad to do with them (and gives Mom a little break too).  Be sure to sign up ahead of time right here.

Kansas City Zoo
Second Saturday Kids Fun Fest
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Cost:  Free for FOTZ Memebers; Regular Admission for others

Bundle up extra warm and explore the world of the Polar Bear!  This exhibit is on it’s way BACK to the zoo in 2010.  You can learn what you can do to help save the polar bears before they are extinct.

Jewish Community Center, 5801 W 115th St, OP, KS
Sunday, January 10
11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Cost: Free

Come out to see Sluggerrr, build a rocket with the Kansas Cosmosphere, or participate in other free family fun. We’ll have free health screenings, group fitness classes, water aerobics and more! The Jewish Community Center is open to families of all backgrounds, and everyone is welcome.

So, what is on your agenda this weekend – other than to stay warm?  Share what you found with us please!
