Halloween is a kid’s favorite time of the year!! While it is simple to go to the store and purchase a costume, that may not always be in your budget — or what you like to do. Here are 10 fun and rather simple Halloween Costume ideas! Just click on each link below to get all of the details on how to make them yourself!!
Here are some others you can also create very easily — details included for you!
Find old pants or a skirt and fringe the bottom. Just tuck in a white shirt (oversized if you can find one) and tie a red scar around your head or your waist. Place some temporary tattoos on your skin. Wear some gold costume jewelry and then dab black black makeup on your face to show a scruffy beard. Check the toy basket for a fake sword or eye patch.
Find an old flannel shirt and cut off the sleeves. Put it on over a long sleeved thermal shirt. Find a tool belt and add some tools. Smudge some brown makeup on your face to look like dirt. If you have a hard hat and boots, that can complete the look.
BLACK EYED PEA
There are two ways to transform yourself into a Black Eyed Pea this Halloween:
Option 1: Use black makeup and make the letter P around your eye.
Option 2: Color your eye with black makeup to look like you have, well, a black eye. Find a white t-shirt and use black tape to make a letter P on the front of it.
You can make a “cereal killer” costume rather easily. Just take either a large box (or several smaller boxes) and put a plastic knife through it. Attach it to your shirt and then use ketchup or other “red” product to make the blood on your shirt. (Make sure the shirt is one you will not want to wear again, in case it happens to stain).
My daughter wants to be Doc McStuffins this year. This costume can be created rather simply. Find a striped shirt, leggings and a skirt (preferably in pinks and purples). Add pink tennis shoes and a white coat (or dad’s large shirt). Add a purple headband with a pink flower on the side of it. Find a stethoscope from your child’s toys and you will be set!
