Aside from curbside pickup and all the amazing deals (even ones you didn’t even anticipate) at your favorite stores, there are even more chances to save money. Seriously, who doesn’t love a good deal?
Launched in October 2019, Target Circle, the retailer’s new loyalty program, promises to help you save more money. Did we mention this program is free? Not only will you save money on Target purchases, but you’ll also even get personalized offers, giving you bigger savings.
No more waiting — let’s get into the nitty-gritty of what this new program is and how it can help make your trips much more budget-friendly.
What is Target Circle and How Does it Work?
Target Circle is meant to help you enjoy a more personalized shopping experience and for you to have a say in how you want Target to help your local community. On yeah, you’ll get to save money too!
How it works is that every time you buy something at Target, you’ll earn 1% back to use on a future Target run. You should be able to keep your earnings until you’re ready to use them. Plus, you’ll get personalized deals, such as coupons for items you buy often or Target things you’ll love. When it’s your birthday, you’ll get 5% off your purchase. Not too shabby, right?
Wondering about those personalized deals? Some current examples are 25% off Cheerios, 20% off certain brands of laundry detergent, and 50% off sparkling water. All you need to do is to log into your account to activate personalized offers. That’s not all. As a member, you get dibs on special sales happening throughout the year.
Target also wants your input to help them donate to local charities. You can vote which 800 or so non-profit organizations you want Target to donate to. Did we mention that membership is absolutely free?
Can I Use my Target Red Card With Target Circle?
Wouldn’t it be great if you could — stack the 1% back with the 5% that the RedCard offers? Sadly, you can’t. As in, you need to choose one or the other. Either way, you still get to earn something back towards future Target purchases, so it’s safe to call that a win-win.
If you shop a lot at Target, you might want to consider signing up for a RedCard. You get 5% off in-store and online and other exclusive discounts.
How to Sign Up For Target Circle
If you’re a Target.com or RedCard member, you’re automatically enrolled. Whenever you check out, make sure you swipe the barcode from the Target app or enter your phone number to earn your rewards.
Otherwise, you can join Target Circle by downloading the Target app and sign up (just follow the directions). Otherwise, head to circle.target.com or by providing your phone number when you check out the next time you’re at Target.
That’s it! How much do you think you’ll save on your next Target run?
