I love stopping to visit with other shoppers in the grocery store. Today, I met someone who is working on feeding a family of nine — so anything to help save money is definitely welcome in her house. The biggest tips I have to offer to anyone who is wanting to curb spending is to 1) establish a budget AND 2) go to a cash only payment system.
I previously posted about these topics and since it has been a few months and I have a lot of new readers, I thought it might help some of you to post about it here again. If you are doing this already, call this your refresher course!
To read about how to set up a budget go here. If you would like to see the worksheet that my family uses, you can see it here.
To read up about how to use cash only, check out this post. I currently use an envelope system offered on Dave Ramsey’s website. Here are some that he sells (we use the Deluxe System in our house).
If you have wanted to start with these types of systems, I have given you some tips to get started. And, if you are using a budget and cash — first GOOD FOR YOU and secondly — share what you are doing with others by leaving me a comment!
I am always here to help as well — so if you have questions – just click CONTACT ME from the menu bar and I will help in any way that I can.
