Earth week has just ended — but that doesn’t mean that you should stop thinking “Green.” In fact, Cascadian Farm wants you to join the celebration by pledging to follow a few eco-friendly tips on Facebook. Choose from eight different pledges, ranging from reusing clothes to reducing your speed while driving on the highway, and find the one that fits your lifestyle. For each person that signs a pledge now through May 31, 2010, Cascadian Farm will donate $1, up to $40,000, to the Organic Farming Research Foundation, which fosters the improvement and widespread adoption of organic farming systems.
As the Organic Farming Research Foundation continues to sow seeds to transform agriculture, you can do your part to initiate a positive change for healthier foods and a healthier earth by visiting http://www.facebook.com/cascadianfarm and signing the pledge that’s right for you.
Dedicated to organic goodness since 1972, Cascadian Farm products are grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers or genetically engineered ingredients. The folks at Cascadian Farm Organic, through My Blog Spark, want to give one of my readers the above pictured prize package. You will receive:
* Reusable Shopping Bag
* Cascadian Farm Organic Fruitful O’s Cereal
* Cascadian Farm Organic Cinnamon Crunch Cereal
* Cascadian Farm Organic Granola
* Cascadian Farm Organic Dark Chocolate Almond Granola
* Cascadian Farm Organic Chocolate Chip Granola Bars
* Cascadian Farm Organic Dark Chocolate Almond Granola Bars
I will admit that until this weekend, I had never tried these products. When they arrived, I was excited to try them. I was actually surprised that my favorite item of all was the Dark Chocolate Almond Granola. I am not even reallly a fan of granola. I tasted this and then tossed some into a container of vanilla yogurt. I felt like I was eating something sinful — when it was actually good for me!
So, you too can try these products for yourself! Entry is simple — just leave a comment telling me what your family is doing to help the green movement. I will select a winner using random.org on Tuesday, April 27th, sometime after 5:00 p.m., so there is plenty of time for you to enter. Good luck!!
(Penny Pinchin’ Mom received the same prize package as being awarded one the winner. The factual information and prize package was provided by Cascadian Farms Organic througy My Blog Spark.
