One thing I don’t claim to be is fashionable. Don’t get me wrong, I do like to look nice once in a while, but to be honest, most days I am in tees and sweats or shorts. I work from home and rarely leave, so I don’t have many opportunities to dress nicely. However, when that chance presents itself, I definitely enjoy it!
I was recently contacted by Chadwicks of Boston to see if one of their looks might work for this crazy, busy mom. I took a look online and found a tunic, leggings and ballet flats that I thought were my personality.
When they all arrived, it was like Christmas morning for me! I don’t often buy things for myself, so this was a very special treat!!! I instantly tried on the outfit and was absolutely IN LOVE!!! I am going to break down the outfit so you know what I received and my thoughts on each one.
First thing I noticed were the bow ballet flats. They are so cute and just really pulled my entire outfit together.
They also sent me black leggings. I love how they cling to my calves the right way, but have a lot of room in the rear and waist, so they never felt too conforming nor tight. Those are my kind of pants!
I also received a tunic sweater. The one thing that really stood out for me was that it was long enough to cover my rear end! I know I am not overweight, but I really like it when that is covered up, so this fit the bill perfectly. I also was so glad that the neck was not too wide. That happens so often to me. I find something I love and the neck is so large that it just doesn’t fit my smaller frame very well.
The really awesome thing about this tunic is that you can actually wear it two different ways. You can roll up the sleeve and button it, or you can just leave it down. Check it out (and also, aren’t those shoes cute??)
As I put on the outfit, I noticed it was adorable, even without any accessories at all (other than my earrings). For me, this was the perfect outfit to wear if I had to run up to the school for lunch or a class party. I’m not overly dressed up, but still feel pretty cute!
I was getting ready to change when I noticed my favorite silver necklace and earrings. I wondered if they went with the outfit at all – -and they did! This is the perfect way to dress it up to meet someone for lunch or even head out to do a little shopping with your friends.
Finally, I thought about one of my favorite fall/winter accessories — scarves!! I pulled my pink scarf out of the drawer (where it had been hibernating all summer long) and tried it on. I decided to give it a different look and rolled down the sleeves. Now, I am ready to go out to dinner with my favorite guy!!!
So there you’ve got it! An affordable outfit that can be worn in more than one way and get totally different looks. It is so versatile and a change of a necklace and scarf gives it a totally different look!!
