A custom artwork candle is not only simple to create – but makes a PERFECT gift!
These adorable DIY custom artwork candles are the perfect gift for so many occasions. I love seeing what kids (and adults alike!) come up with and choose to put on their candle! Each one is totally unique, and they’re so easy, you won’t believe it.

DIRECTIONS
To begin, cut out a small rectangle of white tissue paper. Make sure that the paper is no taller than the height of the candle and as wide as you will want to have the design on the front of the candle.
Draw whatever you would like onto the paper. This is where you get to be creative! Anything goes here!
Once your design is finished, trim any excess tissue paper from around the outside of your design. For best results, trim the paper as close as possible to your design.
Once you’ve trimmed all the excess off, line it up on your candle where you want it.
Cut a piece of wax paper that’s long enough to wrap around your pillar candle, with excess you can hold on to. Wrap the wax paper around the design and the candle tightly, holding it firmly in your hand.
Using a hair dryer on high heat, dry the area where the design is. Dry for 90 seconds. Gently peel the wax paper from one side. If the tissue paper starts to peel up, then you need to put the wax paper back on again and dry longer.
Once you can peel off the wax paper without the tissue paper coming up, it is ready. Set the candle aside and allow it to cool for five minutes.
Now, you’ve got a custom artwork candle! This could be fun for a summer camp project, school art idea or even to create custom candles for a wedding or shower!
