I can’t believe that we are nearly at the end of 2011. I know many of you joined in our Debt Free / Savings Challenge in January (and some of you even during the year). I just wanted to check in with all of you and keep on supporting you in any way I can! I am sure that you have really nailed down those budgets; are using cash for nearly all of your purchases; and just keep whittling away and eliminating that debt! You CAN do this! Not only are the steps easy, there is nothing better than actually getting there and seeing the debt drop to $0.00!!
If you are new to the site, you can still start. Just because 12/31/11 ends the challenge on the site – you can still challenge yourself to eliminate your debt. My husband and I knocked out $37,000 in debt in just 27 months a couple of years ago and the results have been life changing. We finally are in control of our money. We do NOT live paycheck to paycheck. Our heads are above water and we are financially stable – even during this rough economy.
I know many of you have paid off enormous amounts of debt this year. You have all been working so hard and I applaud you for that! But even better than me congratulating you – you should be congratulating yourself!!! You made life altering decisions and before you know it you will be able to shout it from the rooftops – WE’RE DEBT FREE!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course, if you are new to the site, you haven’t been able to join in the “fun” – but don’t let that stop you. During the course of this year, I’ve shared some articles to help you get on track with your own debt free journey. I share information about how to budget, using cash and how to kick start your debt reduction plan. All of this is just with one goal in mind – to truly help you eliminate the debt that looms over your head every single month.
Join us — and on January 1, 2012, I will share with all of you HOW MUCH debt was paid off this year. I have a sheet that you can fill out to share what you have paid off, should you wish to add your total. Please – do NOT share what you want to pay off – only what you really did pay off during this year (if you have not already shared it). Head here and add your total!
