I love being able to turn old things into something new and useful! One thing I love to work with is old windows. They are just gorgeous and make the most amazing decor.
I was recently looking for a creative way to store and display all my necklaces (I have a LOT). That is when I thought up this idea. Why not turn an old window into a wall display. This would be the perfect solution for me. So that is why I came up with this idea for an upcycled necklace holder.
Hooks (must have open end so you can slide your necklace onto it)
Measure the space you have in the frame of your window. Place one hook every 2″. This will allow adequate spacing.
Simply screw the hooks into the frame. Just apply a bit of pressure and they should slide right into place. Make sure all of the hooks are all facing the same direction. That’s all it takes!
I hung my window on the wall using regular picture hangers, and it’s worked great for me. The patina on my window worked or me. However, if you need to pain yours, do so before adding in the hooks.
