I have partnered with Dreamworks Trolls to bring this review your way.
All opinions are my own and were not influenced by any parties.
Have you see the new movie, Dreamworks Trolls? My daughter and I saw it and it was just absolutely adorable. Filled with lots of laughs and fun. It is an adventure about trolls searching for happiness and the lengths they are willing to go to find it.
Her favorite character was DJ Suki. She thought her beats were so awesome and a lot of fun! She loved the sounds she was able to create. Of course, Guy Diamond was one she loved too – because he was naked (cracked her up) and the fact that he was glittery. I liked him because he was confident in who he is (attributes I hope my kid all have as they grow up).
We laughed so much through the entire movie. We both left with a smile and really had fun doing something that she wanted. With an older brother and sister, they don’t like to do the same things she does, so it was special for her and I to get away and do something together.
After seeing the movie, it made the toys she had even more awesome! Of course, the day the items arrived was the best for her. There is nothing better than a large box arriving in the mail and your mom telling you that it is for YOU! As soon as it arrived, we cut it open and found the goodies waiting for us.
Charlotte was thrilled when she pulled everything out of the box and saw exactly which toys she was going to be able to try out for me. After all, she is an expert toy reviewer (at least according to her).
The first one she opened was Guy Diamond. She could not wait to get her hands on that pretty white and silver hair! And she reminded me that he did not like to wear clothes. Next up, was Satin and Chenille. These twins were too cute!
While she loved the cute dolls, her favorite by far was the Trolls in Trouble game. Truth be told, even I enjoy this one! We both liked it because it was a bit different than the traditional Trouble game.
There is still the dice popper, but you have a chance to get immunity, lose turns and even swap places with other players. The game pieces are all cute trolls in four colors (green, pink, purple and orange). There is even a diamond troll which has long white hair.
It was really fun to see them find a way to turn the same game into something new. We have 2 versions of the Trouble game, but this one is by far her favorite. She told me that the other ones are boring. This is more fun – partly because of the zip lines that let you slide across the board!
All in all, the toys were great. Before she received these, she was on the fence about seeing the movie. But now that she’s seen it and has the toys, she’s definitely a fan of anything Trolls!
With the holidays approaching, I’m in toy mode (as I am sure most of you are as well). I am on the lookout for any way I can to find the items my kids want — but on a budget.
Make sure you get ready to shop this weekend too! Starting tomorrow, November 18th, Walmart will have all Hasbro Trolls items marked down 20% off! This discount will be available through November 20th. You can save on the items I shared above as well as countless other awesome toys!
My daughter is growing up so fast. I love finding these small moments where she and I can do something with just the two of us. I hope that these are also memories that will last forever.
