All opinions are my own and were not influenced by any parties.
I’ll be honest. I don’t put on “nice” clothes very often. I work from home so my normal attire is usually yoga pants, shorts and tees. That’s about it. I do have nicer things which I put on when I am heading out. I also always dress up on holidays – such as Easter.
In fact, I try to buy myself something nice to wear every year for Easter. It is just a way that I make myself feel better and it is my own personal reward for the hard work I’ve put in over the past year. I don’t spend much — after all, I am still smart with my money. However, I also make sure that I get a quality item, which will last.
I recently received an outfit from Chadwicks of Boston. It consisted of a dress, shrug and heels. I was already planning on purchasing something new, so this was perfect timing for me!
The dress instantly stood out to me when I saw it online. I liked it because it was not frumpy nor boring. The shades of blue and turquoise make it fun and also provide detail. I also loved the center band — which helps to draw attention away from some of the curves I’d like to hide!
When I put the dress on, the first thing I noticed is HOW COMFORTABLE it was. Oh my heavens. The fabric clung to me – but not in a bad way. I felt like I was wearing a giant comfy t-shirt. I did not feel constrictive or binding in any way at all. I was at ease in the dress (which is great considering I do not dress up very often).
I did not need the shrug, but, I wanted to cover my arms when I go to church. It hit at the perfect length and did not detract all from the dress. Of course, when the weather gets a bit nicer out, I can easily wear the dress without the sweater and get a totally different look.
And of course, what dress would be complete with an awesome pair of shoes?! I normally do not wear heels, but I will for Easter (and other very special occasions as may be needed). I looked in my closet and had a born pair of white heels sitting there. This dress is too pretty to wear something boring with it, so I also got a new pair of heels!
I love that they are open toed, so I will be able to show off my pedicure! They also have the buckle strap with a SUPER fun zipper detail in the very back. The really helped pull the entire look together.
I found an older pair of hoop earrings and a simple white necklace hanging in my closet. Pairing with this dress gave it completely new life (and saved me money as I did not need to purchase new accessories).
Unfortunately, the dress is currently out of stock (doesn’t that always happen to the items we all love the most)? However, you can still the shoes and shrug (and other amazing dresses at reasonable prices):
Chadwick of Boston is really one of my favorite on-line retailers. The products always fit and look just like they do on-line. They are affordable and the garments are always really great quality.
