EASTER EGG POTATO STAMPS
To start, cut the potato lengthwise, down the center. Then, carefully use your knife to carve design. Remember, what you cut away will be the empty space, so the design should be the “high” part of the potato.
Once the design is finished, pat the potato down so it is completely dry. This is an important step as the paint will not adhere properly to a wet surface.
Then, apply the pain to the different raised sections of the pattern (use a paint brush or let the kids use their fingers). Make sure you are liberal with the paint as you want to make sure there is enough to make a design on the paper.
Turn the stamper with the design down and press firmly onto the paper. For best results, reapply paint between each stamp. Rinse and apply new colors for different egg designs.
