I had the pleasure of stopping by KMBC TV’s The Wrap tonight at 6:30 to talk Back to School Savings! I shared some great ideas with them, but of course, not everything possible since it is a short segment. Here are some great resources you can check out when it comes to saving money this Back to School shopping season!
Back to School Database – Complete with prices and coupons for your favorite stores! Just search for the product you need and you’ll find all of this week’s prices!
A few other things to remember when it comes to saving money this season:
Don’t chase every deal. You will spend more money on gasoline and your time to save a few extra bucks. Find a couple of stores, and stick with them. You’ll save time, fuel and aggravation!
Set your budget. Know how much money you have to spend on your supplies and stick to it. It might mean you have to select a different brand than you normally purchase, but at least you won’t over spend.
Take advantage of tax free shopping. Missouri’s tax free shopping weekend is August 2 – 4th. This can be an easy way to save money on your back to school supplies and clothing. If you don’t live in Missouri, check out our 2013 Tax Free Holiday Shopping Weekends.
Price matching is your friend. Remember to take all of those ads with those low prices to Target or Walmart and price match when you can. You’ll save more money and time by shopping at just one store!
