I have been having a lot of fun finding apps for my Verizon Xyboard. Of course, there are hundreds of thousands to sort through, so I decided to just focus on some which I found helped me save me time, money — or both! Here are five apps which I’ve been using for a while and why I love them. The best thing of all is that they are FREE!!
How many times have you been at the store and you think – “I think I saw that on sale at another store this week.” This app can help you find the deal without having to leave the store! Just click on the app and then select stores. You can find the stores near you and then click on the ad to open it. Scroll through, find the deal you were looking for and you’ll know where you can get the best price. Of course you can upgrade to the ProVersion where you can make lists and put the app to work for you even more.
If your store price matches, this can help as well. Keep in mind that some stores will not allow an electronic version of the weekly ad to be considered, but others will. Just make sure you know your store’s policy before you shop.
With the high cost of, well, just about everything, one way to try to save is to fuel up for as little money as possible. Gas Buddy will use your location and find the prices per gallon at several stations close to you. Not only is it helpful for pricing, but it will give you the address and even direction on how to get there! This could be very helpful with that light comes on reminding you that you are nearing the end of your tank!
This app is an interactive time saving app – as well as helping you save money. You simply go through your pantry, refrigerator and freezer and mark down everything you have on hand. You can even scan the barcode for the item to be added for you! Then, arrange those items into categories. As you use items, you mark what is needed and add it to your list. You can email your list to anyone. That means, you can send the list to your spouse and ask them to stop by the store on the way home and pick up the items you need. It can help you never forget tht one item which you always seem to walk out of the store without grabbing! It also can help prevent you from buying that item that you already have plenty of at home – which can waste your money!
I talk all of the time about using cash. Many people don’t like using physical envelopes. That is where Easy Envelop Budget Aid can help! You simply get your cash and manage the amount for each budgeted category through the app. That means, you don’t need dedicated envelopes – just one. As I have mentioned before, when you use cash and are responsible for keeping track of every penny you spend, you are less likely to overspend.
Whatever electronic device you are using, there are lots of great free apps to help you get the most out of your money. From budgeting to shopping, there is something perfect for you. Just try on the free ones and see if they work for you before you spend money on one that you hate!
I am participating in the Verizon Midwest Savvy Savers program and have been provided with a wireless device and size months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.
