I always love to do things with my family. However, it seems that everything I want to do costs money! So, when my mom decided to come to see the kids this weekend, I thought about trying to find something we could do, that wouldn’t break the bank!
So, we are headed down to Crown Center in Kansas City. We are actually taking the kids to Kaleidoscope to take part in the free Family Activity hour. The kids get to come in and do crafts with parental help…..and all ages are welcome. The best part — IT IS FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once we are done with that, we will head over to Crown Center itself and check out the 70 Years Of Oz exhibit. It is also free and the kids get to explore the yellow brick road, Munchkinland and other wonders of the Wizard of Oz. Can’t beat free – huh?
We will end up spending a little money to take the kids to eat. We will either go to Fritz’s (this link is for a different location – but the setup is pretty much the same) or Crayola Cafe. We will leave the decision as to where to dine up to our 4 year old!
I know that others also love to find the free things to enjoy in the city. You can head over to Union Station for Canstruction. We saw this a few weeks ago and seeing what people can create with cans of food really is amazing! The kids will love seeing a teddy bear as well as Wall-E!!
There are lots of free things to do in Kansas City. Please share yours with me so I can pass them along to other families as well! Oh — and since my mom will be here this weekend, I may not post again until I get the coupons on Sunday morning and update the Grocery and CVS deals. So, if you don’t see any new posts – you will know what is up!
