It’s no secret that my family loves ice cream. If you ever were to stop by and say hello, you could look into my freezer and see at least one (if not two) cartons staring back up at you.
And, like most people, the one flavor we always have on hand is vanilla. We’ve tried many flavors from chocolate to chocolate chip and more and my kids always come back to good old vanilla. Truth is, I can’t blame them!! It is my favorite too!
Now, being a good mom means that I not only let my kids enjoy a scoop of ice cream several times in the summer, but I also make sure that it’s a brand I can trust. There are so many that use ingredients that I, quite honestly, can’t even pronounce. Makes me nervous to feed that to my kids.
Over the years, I’ve read lots of labels and even tried brands that have claims that they use more natural products. But, truth be told, we always find ourselves coming back to Breyers. Not only is it non-GMO, but the simple flavor makes it the perfect foundation for any creamy, creative concoction.
GET CREATIVE WITH YOUR ICE CREAM!
I mentioned that we always have Breyers vanilla ice cream on hand. But, that doesn’t mean we eat it plain in a bowl. We love to have fun with it! We’ve rolled it in cinnamon and sugar to get a unique spicy kick. We’ll throw some easy to bake chocolate cookies into the oven and make fresh, chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches!
Now that National Ice Cream Month is upon is, it’s the time of the year when we can all get a bit more creative! You can find a great deal on Breyers at Walmart!
Here’s a fun thing we created with our kids! We made these easy rainbow ice cream sandwiches! We used store bought sugar cookie dough and filled them with yummy Bryers Vanilla ice cream and then rolled them in sprinkles! The kids LOVED them!!!
Make sure that when you pick up cartons of Breyers ice cream, that you don’t forget the toppings! The “experts” who live with me recommend the following:
- Chocolate Syrup
- Rainbow Sprinkles
- Fresh Blueberries (and other fruit)
Don’t let your busy life keep you from having fun with your kids being creative. That’s no fun! Walmart now offers an simple way to get your groceries, without you spending hours shopping!
NEW GROCERY PICK UP SERVICE
A couple of weeks ago, I noticed the bright orange paint go up on our Walmart, indicating that Walmart Grocery Pick-Up was now available at our location!
Rather than spend an hour (or more) walking the aisles on Saturday morning, you can plan your shopping trip from your sofa. Add everything you need to your online shopping cart. Once your total is at least $30 (they do have a minimum purchasing amount required), head to checkout. You will let them know what time you want to pick up your order and you’ll be done!
When it’s time for your pick-up, you will pull into the designated parking area and they bring your groceries to you and load them into your car!! How awesome is that? Total time saver, right?
Keep in mind that Walmart Grocery Pick-up is not available at all stores, so you may not find it where you normally shop. But, if you see it is available, you should take advantage of this service. It is a such a time saver for busy moms and dads!!!
Give the grocery pick-up a try – and don’t forget to grab the Breyers Ice Cream!!!
