It is no secret that I am extremely philanthropic. I truly believe in giving back to others in any way I can. That doesn’t always mean monetarily – it can mean in my time, other donations or even through thoughts and prayers. I wish I could keep up with all of the amazing organizations who do great work, but I can’t. However, I love it when I hear of new ones that are doing amazing work and of course, I love to share what they are doing with all of you!
I recently learned of a new non-profit company called Three Avocados Coffee. The thing that thoroughly impressed me was that 100% of the net proceeds are used to provide clean water in Uganda, Africa. Nearly 1 billion people worldwide lack access to clean water. In Uganda alone, 63 children die each day from lack of clean drinking water. A simple switch in your coffee can help change lives.
Their Uganda Bugisu is 100% Arabica coffee, grown atop Mt. Elgon in Uganda. It has been praised for it’s smooth, bold taste, with hints of dark chocolate. When you realize your coffee is also helping provide clean water in Uganda, you’ll enjoy each sip that much more.
To me, knowing that I can spend my money for something I want (or need) will actually truly benefit another country, agency or person, makes me want to frequent them more often. This is just a simple way to pay it forward without doing more than enjoying your daily cup of java!

I learned that this company actually gives back to disadvantaged people that are in terrible need. It is so rare to see a truly socially responsible business in today’s world. Kudos to them. Also, I was horrified to read how many people in the world do not have access to basic clean potable water. We are so lucky in this country and take so much for granted.
