I previously shared a review with you regarding Hasbro Games. I also had a chance for my kids to review a few other items too! Below you will find my reviews of a few other new toys entering the Hasbro toys line up this holiday season!
My youngest daughter is 6. She instantly grabbed the Baby Alive Brush Brushy Baby Doll when I showed it to her. She started to giggle when she grabbed the tube of toothpaste and squeezed it and saw “real” toothpaste come out of the opening. She giggled even more when she pressed the button on the toothbrush and saw the bristles turn round and round. In fact, that evening when it was bed time, she took her doll into the bathroom and said they had to both brush their teeth (and I didn’t have to remind her)!!
She had never owned a Baby Alive doll prior to this one, so she wasn’t sure why she had a real diaper to wear. So, we put it on her, filled the included sippy cup with water and she learned the fun that is Baby Alive. She laughed so hard when she had to change her baby’s diaper and then reminded me that we had to go to the store or her baby couldn’t drink anything else or she would wet her pants.
This little doll has now has numerous baths and her teeth have been brushed countless times. It really goes without saying much, that this was a hit with our little girl.
The next item reviewed was done by our 7 year old son. He saw the gun and knew that was the toy for him! He ripped it open and yelled out — “IT EVEN HAS A TARGET MOM!!!” Once he put the batteries in, he got even more excited as he had to show me that it had a laser on it. He said that was so he could make sure he never missed his target. You know what, he was right.
He loaded the Nerf darts into his gun and began to fire away. He even dug out his other Nerf guns and used them too — but then returned to using this one. The reason? You guessed it — the laser. Who would have thought that something so small would thrill a seven year old boy so much!
The set includes the gun, target and four darts. However, if you have other Nerf systems in your home, the darts can be interchanged, which provides for more ammo (without spending money).
Now, if we could convince him that his Dad doesn’t need to go to jail for feeding him veggies, it would be even better!
The last item on the list was the Play-Doh Diggin’ Rigs Boomer the Fire Truck Playset. In true Play-Doh fashion, this one rocked. We actually enlisted the help of our neighbor, who has a 3 year old son.
He instantly just took the truck and started to roll it around on the floor, putting out fires. However, once we showed him the fun he could do with Play-Doh, well, the lights went on! I think he sat and played with this toy for more than 30 minutes, without interruption!
Really, the only issue we had was that when we put the Play-Doh into the hose, it came out the sides, but he didn’t mind at all. In fact, he didn’t even notice.
