Homemade Marinara

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of stewed tomatoes
  • 1 6 oz can of tomato paste
  • 1 clove of minced garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 4 Tbs chopped parsley
  • 1/4 tsp of ground black pepper
  • 6 tbs olive oil
  • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
  • 1/2 cup of white wine

Instructions

  1. Place tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, salt, oregano and parsley into a food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Saute onions in olive oil until cooked through (around 2 – 3 minutes)
  3. Add in the sauce and win to the onions
  4. Simmer for 30 minutes (stir occasionally)
