The saga of not seeing what you want to on Facebook continues. It seems that instead of it improving, it is getting worse and worse. That means, no matter what you do, you may (or more likely – may not) see any of the updates from the website on Facebook. There would be a way, if I were rich.
I know, we all wish that we could go back in time to the days when everything I posted was seen on every single person’s news feed. Sure, it meant for lots of posts, but at least you saw them! And you could remove pages so that your news feed was not cluttered up with information you didn’t want to seee. The good thing was that you (nor I) had to worry that some of you were missing out on the deals or money saving ideas being shared. I knew you would all get what you wanted. However, as we all know, things never stay the same, and Facebook is absolute proof of that.
As things have changed, we have all been trying to do things to ensure that you see me from adding me to your news feed to creating lists. It seems Facebook has gotten ore money hungry as time has gone on. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind paying for things to help ensure you all see the deals posted. However, in order for you to see every post on Facebook, they want me to pay to promote each individual post. Yes, that is what they want to charge me:
Since my money tree is not yet sprouting $10’s or $20’s yet, that means I can’t do this. I just can’t pay to ensure you see the posts. I just don’t have that capital to make sure you can all see every single post.
I see blogger’s saying “Like this post or comment so I stay in your news feed” but its seems, comments or not, it doesn’t work. It even seems that when you want to see someone in your news feed, they still will not show up there. Luckily, there are ways to keep up with all posts.
The easiest way – and keeps you ON Facebook is to join our Penny Pinchin’ Mom Group. Every single post comes into this room. You can just click on the group when you are on-line and find them there. The other bonus is that you can easily communicate with other couponers. You can ask questions, swap coupons and learn from one another. Since this is a group, you must be approved to join. Just head HERE and I will get you added to the group as soon as I can. (Remember, no self promotion or spam in this group or you will be removed).
It will be easy to find this group then when you log into Facebook. Just look in your side bar for a heading called GROUPS. If you see a number next to the PPM Facebook group, then that means there was a new post! This way, you don’t have to go looking for my page to find updates, they actually come to you!!! **Important note for iPhone users — Make sure that you turn on push notifications so you can instantly see when the page is updated!!
If that doesn’t work for you, we have other options available for you:
Follow me on Twitter. I post all links there and interact with readers/fans on that site as well.
You can then sign up for Tweetdeck or another service and set it up so that all of my posts come up in a single column.
Follow me on Google+. I know that it seems like this is a ghost town, but the more people who post here and interact, the more fun it becomes.
I am even looking at having hangout nights with readers and doing some mini sessions and open chat forums from time to time!
Add me to your Reader. I will admit that it took me a while to “get” this.
What I love is that my reader is open at all times and I can just look through the list to find new posts
by all of my favorite sites or just click on the site I want to check out and find the posts there as well.
Sign up for our Free Daily Newsletter. You can choose from the type of newsletter that works for you, so that the content you receive is relevant.
Just make sure that you opt into at least one choice, or you will default to the daily newsletter.
There are so many ways to keep up with me and ensure you never miss out on a deal again! Facebook might take away you ability to see a post, but that doesn’t mean you have to miss out!!!
