If you upgraded to Windows 8 recently and have tried to print a coupon, you might have noticed that you…well….can’t. This is an issue across all browsers whether you are using Internet Explorer, Chrome or Firefox, while in Metro Mode. The reason is that the coupon printer uses an Active X Control which was disabled by Microsoft in Windows 8 Metro Mode.
Don’t worry, there is a work around for you! You simply need to visit coupons.com from a browser opened in Windows 8 Classic Mode. To change modes, you need to navigate back to the desktop by clicking on the desktop tile and then launch the browser of your choosing, like normal and proceed to www.coupons.com. It might be good to just use this practice before visiting Penny Pinchin’ Mom, to ensure you are in the correct mode in case you see a coupon pop up which you want to print!
Yes, this is a slight pain in the behind, but a least you can still print your coupons!!!
