Today, on our Facebook page, I shared a humorous photo. I know many of you got a chuckle out of it (I did too).
The truth is that most days of the week, you’ll find me in shorts and tees or yoga pants and sweatshirts. When you work from home, you really don’t have much motivation to dress up. Sad? Yes. But it’s the truth.
However, there are times when I love to get dressed up. Every Sunday I dress nicely for church. There are times when I have meetings away from the house when I get to put together my look. I often do appearances and give presentations where I get to put my fashion style together.
No matter what I do when I put together a look there are two words that can describe it: Simple and Easy.
I’ve never been one who overdoes her look. I like something that is easy for me to put together. I need to be able to get ready in 30 minutes (or less). As a busy mom of three, it is not just about me getting ready. I have to make sure the kids are doing what they need to as well. That doesn’t leave me a lot of time (most days).
Being simple with my fashion style, I was drawn to this new dress I found. The deep plum drew me in as a gorgeous fall color. There is not much to the dress at all. And that is why I like it.
I can easily add a necklace and earrings or a scarf to my dress and have the look I want. It does not take much to look pulled together. That is why I love it.
Again, since I don’t dress up often, I look for staple pieces that I can wear anywhere I go. This dress does that. The necklace makes it perfect for church. When I added a warm scarf, I am ready for the (very rare) date night with my hubby.
Best of all, it is comfortable. That is me. Easy to build a look and being comfortable. That is what matters.
While I grabbed the plum dress, Cents of Style sells these in an array of 17 different colors. They are all absolutely gorgeous! Truth be told, there were several colors which drew me in.
Right now, you can order one of these dresses yourself for just $21.95 shipped! Add the color you want to your cart and at checkout, enter the code DRESS2016.
Share with me your style. I’d love to know more about what you do!
