A common question when using coupons is this -- how many coupons can you use when you purchase a twin pack? After all - you are buying TWO products! We've got the RIGHT answer here for you!!!

Whenever someone asks me a question, I try to do a post to share my answer with everyone, in case others have questions too!  Here was the question from today:

Whenever I find an item that is a two pack, how many coupons can I use?

Can I use a $1/2 or 2 – $1/1 since I am actually buying 2?

The answer to this question is ONE.  Coupons are redeemed according to the bar code.  The package is two items, with only one scannable bar code.

So, if your coupon is $1/2, you would need to purchase 2 twin packs in order to use that coupon.  In the case of a $1/1 coupon, you can use only 1 coupon as there is only one product being scanned.

I’ve had that problem with Crest toothpaste at CVS. My store will put in the second coupon manually, that’s why I love them 🙂
