I didn’t see this in this weekend’s ad, but there is apparently an image that lets you know that Walmart will now accept competitor’s store coupons — which means you SHOULD be able to use your Walgreens in-ad coupons at your local Walmart store!!!
While I shared this information a while back (find that post here), it sill is not available in their on-line policy, you should be able to redeem the coupons at your local store. Make sure you read the details in my post so that you know HOW to use your coupons (this information was provided to me via a Walmart employee).
(Note that most stores still will NOT accept your Target store coupons).
I’ve not tried this yet – have you? If so, share your experiences!
Thanks for the reminder, She Saved & Hip 2 Save!

If you read through a few of the comments on the Wal-Mart Facebook page, it seems that they are telling people it was an error in their ad. They are not accepting competitor store coupons, so there is no change in their policy.
Here is their response on one of the posts:
“Walmart Hi Billie, Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, there was an error in the printing of our latest ad, which stated that we will honor competitor coupons in addition to printed ads. We are not honoring competitors’ coupons at this time, and we regret the error, however we will honor competitors’ printed ads. You can see the correct coupon policy here: http://walmartstores.com/7655.aspx“

It now seems that it is something that is allowed from store to store as I had this information on good authority from a Walmart employee (or I wouldn’t have posted it).

Yes, I saw it on the ad, too! I’m planning to take it with me, along with my Target coupons, on my next Walmart run!

I called my local Bonnor Springs, KS and Shawnee, KS stores and they DO NOT accept competitor’s coupons but they price match other competitor’s prices..DARN!!

I just spoke to the front end manager at the Walmart up north off of Barry Rd and I-29. He said they would deduct the price of the local competitors coupon but they would let you keep it because they can not turn them in. Basically they will treat them as a price adjustment. So from that it sounds like you can use your Target coupons at Walmart and then use them at Target.

It definitely sounds like it is something that varies from store to store. It is so good you asked as it sounds like your store WILL allow them.

I’ve used Target store coupons @ Walmart several times with no problems! 🙂
