If you shop at Target at all, you might want to think about getting the Target Red Card. This card gives you an automatic 5% discount on every purchase — on top of the store and manufacturer’s coupons you might use.
I, for one, am not a supporter of credit cards for the most part (I’m a cash carrying mom). However, what I love about this card is that you can use it at the checkout and walk directly over to Guest Services and pay off the balance!
I do this same thing when I shop at Kohls. I get great coupons because I hold their card, but I can make my purchase and instantly pay it off — and I can do it there right in the checkout line.
I am seriously considering applying for one of these cards in order to increase my savings. However, before I do get one, I am going to be sure to carefully read the fine print as with the new regulations coming down, many cards are looking to recoop losses by assessing fees for paying them off early.
If you own a Target card, have you been advised of new fees? If so, please let me know!
