This is a sponsored post on behalf of Ebates.  All opinions are my own and were not influenced by any parties.

In 2017, more than 8% of all retail sales were completed online (source). That number continues to grow each year.  That means shoppers need to be as savvy as possible when it comes to saving money.

finding online coupon codes and deals

If you are like others, online shopping is much more convenient than running to the store. Out of detergent?  Just a couple of clicks and it is on its way to your house!

But with this added convenience can also come overspending. The ease of shopping can lead to spending too much, and you may not always find the best deals.

I’ve talked about following me for deals, signing up for newsletters and other online shopping hacks.  But, one of the best ones I’ve ever used is shopping through a rebate site, such as Ebates.

WHAT IS EBATES?

Ebates is the largest cashback site available.  They have partnered with more than 2,000 of the biggest retailers including Kohl’s, Target, Walmart, The Children’s Place, Shutterfly and more.

They offer coupon codes and cash back on your purchases, at no cost to you.  Just click, save and get paid!  You quite literally get paid to shop.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Before you buy anything online, log into your Ebates account. Then, search for the retailer where you will shop (i.e., Kohl’s).

Ebates will first show you the current coupon codes you can use to save on your purchase. Then, click on the link they provide and they will not only send you to that retailer but will also trigger the tracking on your account.

Shop as you usually do, making sure you use the coupon code you found so you can save on your purchase.  Within a few days, you will get a percentage of your purchase deposited in your account.  Every three months, they mail you a check with all of the money you’ve earned.

It’s so easy to use!!

GET A WELCOME BONUS

When you sign up right now, using THIS LINK,  you will get a $10 bonus once you spend $25 or more!  That is free money in your pocket, for doing what you were going to do anyhow.

BONUS OFFERS

Each week, Ebates offers bonus cash back offers.  For the week of 3/12/18 – 3/19/18, you can get double cash back at some retailers!  Those that jump out at me include:

Carters – was 2.5%, but is now 5%!

Land’s End – was 2%, but is now 6%!

The Children’s Place – was 1.5%, but is now 3%

Not only that, but you may also see specific cash back bonus offers in your account.  Various retail offers are extended to you, and you’ll find those waiting for you when you log into your account.

USE THE CHROME EXTENSION

I hate having to search for a coupon code, don’t you?  If you use Google Chrome as your browser, you can install the Chrome Extension for free.  It will “automagically” find and apply coupons for you!

USE THE MOBILE APP

If you prefer to shop on your phone, Ebates is right at your fingertips.  Get the free mobile app and when you get ready to buy, use the app to get coupon codes, savings, and cash back on every purchase.

There is no good reason (that I can think of) as to why you shouldn’t be using Ebates.  It is the simplest way to save money on every online purchase you make.
