I am not sure what is up, but I think I’ve been in a rut. I have recently been terribly unmotivated. I have had no desire to take care of things around my home or even take time to enjoy the things I like. I know that this happens to all of us from time to time.
Thankfully, it seems that it has passed. I really attribute it to this weekend’s sermon at our church. I was starting to wonder if what I was doing mattered and lost focus of why that was. The sermon was about stewardship. It was so helpful to be reminded that God gave me gifts and that I am to use them to help others.
I started thinking about my gifts and what I was to do with them. He gave me the gift of love and guidance so I could be here for my family. He gave me the gift of understanding finances and money so that I could help others – just like you – save money. Of course, he gave me much more than that, but these are the once I felt I needed to focus on first.
That changed how I want to look at my goals for the week. Rather than looking at it as a chore, I am going to start trying to look at it as a way to share my gifts. With this in mind, I move forward with what want to achieve this week – and am trying to focus on using my gifts so I can truly be a steward.
THIS WEEK’S GOALS
1. Storytime with the kids each morning.
2. Plan ahead and ensure a warm meal is waiting for my family each evening.
3. Keep the computer off after dinnertime and focus on my kids.
4. Keep up with emails and deals to ensure my readers can save.
5. Do only what I can during a day and remember that I am only me and can not compare myself to others.
What are your goals? Let’s work together and help one another achieve the goals that we set all year long. I have faith that we can do it!
